Description

The Fusilli Lunghi Bucati are originally from Campania and have a simple spiral format.

In ancient times, Fusilli were produced by hand according to a method handed down from mother to daughter: it was a matter of twisting, with a very quick gesture and expert hands, a piece of spaghetti around a knitting needle. The skill demonstrated in this procedure is very reminiscent of that of the spinners and in fact the term "fusillo" derives from "fused", the typical work tool of spinners.

The Fusilli Lunghi Bucati are traditionally served with the Neapolitan ragù or the " guardaporta " and the Neapolitan ragù called " alla genovese ". Generally, they are best served with parmesan or pecorino, or with tomato and vegetable based sauces, with eggplant and peppers.
