Angelini retains the name of the prestigious 1961 social cellar of San Pietro Vernotico, in the middle of the Squinzano DOP production area, incorporated into Cantine Due Palme in 2008.

Squinzano, on the other hand, in addition to being the name of the PDO, recalls the homonymous town between the provinces of Brindisi and Lecce, presumably founded in 190 BC by the Roman consul Tito Quinzio Flaminio, right next to the famous city Valesio, a city of Messapian origin - Roman destroyed in the 12th century.

A history as old as the tradition of Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera which, to be regulated, contribute to the production of this extraordinary PDO.

The grapes, coming from soils rich in crushed stone and minerals, are harvested late in the period of September. Aging took place in French oak barriques for 6 months, which was then refined in the bottle.
